Cessationists want us to believe that the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit ended with the first century church and aren't available today, but God said clearly that this gift was available to all who would call upon the name of Jesus for salvation.  

The Last Days

The Kingdom is Power

1 Cor. 4:20 tells us that the kingdom of God does not consist of words, but in power.  Jesus said that we would preach the gospel of the kingdom to the ends of the earth and that this would actually be tied to His return.  How could we be commissioned by Christ to preach a gospel that is defined by power and yet not have access to that power?

1900's Revivalists

This week Pastor Shawn Benson investigates some of the history of early 1900's revivalists Mariah Woodworth-Etter, Smith Wigglesworth, and John G. Lake, and suggests that this history demands something of us.  We can't remain neutral when we hear verified firsthand accounts from history that describe God moving in power.  Either the accounts are true or every revival in American history has had a massive and highly successful conspiracy aimed at deceiving the body into believing that God was still moving.  It is impossible to remain a cessationist in light of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary!  

Revival From Wales to LA

This week Pastor Shawn introduces the Welsh and Azusa Street revivals suggesting that they are connected and the events in that day seem to echo the events in ours.  Race issues, an out of control virus, and social reform mark this season in early 1900 just like they mark us today in 2020.
